straighten up & fly right


Some wonderful clients brought in this sidewalk sale find.  It is a vintage science instructional poster for genetics.


There were some condition issues:  poster is dog-eared, creased, discolored, and torn.  I suggested simple framing techniques to diminish the flaws, but still allowing the piece to show its age and history.

Below the poster is mounted to a substrate with similar color backing.  (I used 3 different colors for varied stages of yellowing.  Lower right corner is most advanced.  Top hole punches are the least advanced.)  Crease flattened.  Rips mended.


And below is the finished project in a beautiful barnwood frame and uv protectant glass.
