This Saturday, June 8th, we are pleased to present Box Score: Mixed Media Collages by Randel Plowman, author of The Collage Workbook, Library Journal's Best Art Instruction Book 2012. These are images created for Box Score: An Autobiography, an epic baseball poem and interactive poetry app by Kevin Varrone.
Gorgeous limited-edition archival prints are available framed or unframed. I am working on framing them up in the shop right now, sneak peek below.

I don't know the rules about being a gallery hostess, but am I allowed to say this collection is the most beautiful baseball art I've ever seen? Well it is. Come and see and you will know. Vintage Phillies (et al) images set in abstract layers of saturated colors on beautiful paper.
We will also be celebrating the release of the Box Score app, available on itunes HERE, where you can view the artwork, read the poems, and listen to nearly 80 writers and artists perform the poems. The app also features “Extras” section that includes a glossary, list of sources, contributor bios and a video performance of Ernest Thayer’s iconic poem, “Casey at the Bat.”
We are doing a ballpark-themed opening reception, complete with beer, lemonade, pretzels & popcorn! Please join us from 6 - 9pm.
