A friend who is a social caseworker had her first go-round in a frame shop--so glad it was mine! One of her clients had drawn a fabulous caricature of her and she wanted to display it in her home. We both admired the work, and thought it had a mod 60s quality about it and the design took flight. Immediately I thought OVAL.
I took a measurement and found that we could do an exaggerated oval--a little taller and thinner than standard sized ones. Perfect for a caricature! We found just the right mat color--a blue-green, and paired it with a vintage-looking cream stripey textured frame.
Très chic!
